Joseph Fleckenstein graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BS degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. He has been a practicing, registered professional engineer for many years. Throughout his career he was engaged in a variety of roles although he has been primarily involved with electrical power generation and automatic controls. From an early period he was drawn to writing - either for pleasure or profit. Examples of his publications are cited at this website.


Joseph was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but also lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Columbus, Ohio, York, Pennsylvania and Tours, France. Today he lives in eastern Pennsylvania.
While serving as a lieutenant in the US Army was commander of a platoon of 35 men overseas.

Active member and occasional officer of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group, an association of approximately 130 writers in eastern Pennsylvania.
